Glory Power Ministries (GPM) churches in South Africa recently held a youth conference at the Glory Power Center in Magona. Over 140 youth came to the conference and 27 prayed to receive Jesus for the first time! Check out some powerful testimonies below.

Pictured above are some youth from the Glory Power Center in the village of Nkavele. The youth at the conference danced, did dramas, spoke poems and had special singing. Pictured below are some youth from the Glory Power Magona Center in Magona performing a dance.

The conference theme was to live a pure, God-glorifying life where pleasing God is most important and not giving in to peer pressure. The youth were taught how much God loves them and wants the very best for their lives.

Also, representatives from the local clinic spoke about HIV/AIDS and teen pregnancy – widespread problems in South Africa. Many teens have died from AIDS in the villages over the years. Pictured below is Mrs. Rikhotso, from the clinic, addressing the conference.

Below are some testimonies from the the conference (corrected for grammar):

“I’m Petunia from the Nkavele Glory Power Center. We learned about HIV/AIDS and the danger of being pregnant when we are still young. We must appreciate ourself. We must love one another because God loves us. We must not do the thing that we don’t want to do because of our friends. We must choose the right friends. We must protect ourself because we are the Temple of God. We must please God every time.”

“I’m Revoningo from the Block D (village) Glory Power Center. 1 Timothy 4:12-13 says as youth we must have a good vision. I must be strong in every situation that I am facing. I learned the danger of having an abortion, the danger of having sex when we are still young and the danger of sleeping with a lot of boys. We must share the word of God with others. We must have a good relationship with God. We must stay away from sin. We learned that God loves us and He will solve our problems that we are facing. We must focus on school so that we have a good future.”

“My name is Lucky from the village of Shevulani. I’m a member of the Glory Power Power Center at Magona. The conference showed me that we must think about our future. We must deny our self. We must control our self as Christians. We must know where we are standing and stay away from alcohol and fornication.”

Bless the Lord for all that these treasured youth learned at the conference! Please pray that GPM continues to help these young people grow strong in God’s love and strength and be a light to the youth around them.
