Glory Power Honors The Disabled

Glory Power Ministries (GPM) recently gathered some precious people – those without limbs, the blind, mentally challenged and other afflicted – from different villages in South Africa for a special party to show them dignity and respect. Some 100 people were brought to GPM’s main church in Magona where they were given a hot meal, clothes, gifts and food parcels, and were shown the love of Jesus. These people are especially looked down upon in their villages because others believe the lie that these are less than human.

Pastor Patrick of the Glory Power Center in Magona taught these disabled that they were as special to God as anyone and that He will always help them with their needs if they trust Him. Those at the party said that they had never experienced such love before. All who came also prayed to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior and said that they would like to become members of the GPM church in their village.

TESTIMONIES

One of those who attended the party, Khubani (pictured below with Pastor Patrick), who has no legs, said:
“What can I say, I thank God for this day. I wasn’t expecting all of this. Everyday, I would ask myself questions, ‘Why me?’ ‘Why all of this?’ But today made me stronger and I have accepted what I am. I thank God because He is good and He is able to heal my heart.”

Another who attended the party, Papi (pictured below), a 32 year old orphan, said afterwards:
“I feel very good after being so motivated and enjoyed the Word of God. I am happy to hear that people like us should be accepted by other people and will be taken care of by God.”

This party was part of outreaches into four destitute villages where GPM has churches – leaders and members went door to door bringing food, clothes and ministering God’s love to people. A service was then held each night in a public area in the village, to encourage people who would not usually come to church.

GPM will continue to minister and disciple these disabled and all others in the villages. Please pray that these dear people grow in the Lord and that God provide for GPM to help with their needs.
