Stolen Innocence

children1 (1)Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these,” Luke 18:16. On August 22, Glory Power in Mokgoba held a children’s conference. We rejoice with Pastor Peter in celebrating the fact that 127 children attended and 89 of them accepted Jesus as their Savior.

While we celebrate the changed lives of these children, it is with great difficulty we report stoleninnocence from what some are delivered. Seven precious girls have been violated in the worst way possible – sexual abuse. Three of the girls pictured here were abused by the same 46-year-old man who promised to give the girls money so they could buy candy at school. Pastor Peter contacted the parents and the local police. It has been reported the man has run away, possibly to Zimbabwe. Peter and Glory Power are deeply burdened by this atrocity and is asking its supporters to pray fervently for the lives of these beautiful children.

7yearold (1) To the right is seven-year-old Modadji Zulu. Already, she has slept with five boys. Her innocence has been stolen. She is greatly disturbed and is unable to concentrate at school. At the children’s conference, she gave her heart to Jesus. God holds her tears in His hands.

Below, Peter is teaching the children while they eat. To say, “the work is challenging” is an understatement. There is much to be done to protect the children, to teach them about God, to help heal their emotional trauma, and to provide sustenance for their growing bodies.
